This action will lead to the removal of <strong>thousands of listings<\/strong being advertised <strong>illegally<\/strong> on Airbnb\u2019s website.<\/p>\n<p>This measure complements previous initiatives, such as the <strong>activation of the mandatory registration tool<\/strong> for new listings and the <strong>first round of deactivation<\/strong> of irregular listings carried out months ago, which resulted in the removal of over a hundred listings identified by the island authority.<\/p>\n<p>From now on, it will not be necessary for the Consell to provide lists to the company, as Airbnb has committed to <strong>automatically deactivate<\/strong> all unregistered listings. \u201cThis is the <strong>decisive step<\/strong> to eradicate illegal offers; there will be no respite. This agreement with Airbnb demonstrates that <strong>public-private collaboration<\/strong> is the way to protect our tourism model, ensure compliance with regulations, and continue enhancing the quality of life of all Mallorca residents,\u201d stated Lloren\u00e7 Galm\u00e9s, president of the island authority.<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cThe removal of all listings without a licence from mid-October is a decisive action that reinforces our aim to promote coexistence on our island, for the benefit of the local community and all platform users.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"122\" data-end=\"198\">Ibiza removes 100% of illegal Airbnb listings<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"200\" data-end=\"711\">The President of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Margalida Prohens, and the President of the Consell Insular d\u2019Eivissa, Vicent Mar\u00ed, have announced the removal of <strong data-start=\"355\" data-end=\"415\">all illegal Airbnb listings on the island<\/strong>, making Ibiza the first island in the archipelago to achieve this.
