Air Canada<\/strong> has announced that, from 17 June 2026<\/strong>, it will launch a new direct flight<\/strong> Montreal\u2013Palma<\/strong>. The route will be seasonal<\/strong> and will operate until 24 October 2026<\/strong>, with four weekly frequencies<\/strong> in each direction.<\/p>\n

Flights from Montreal will depart at 18:45<\/strong> and land at Son Sant Joan Airport at 08:25 the following day<\/strong>, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. In the opposite direction, flights will depart from Palma at 12:15<\/strong> and arrive in Montreal at 15:10<\/strong>, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.<\/p>\n

A bet on the Mediterranean<\/h2>\n

The new service is part of the airline\u2019s international expansion strategy for summer 2026, which will also include new routes from Montreal to Catania, Sicily<\/strong>, as well as the return of connections from Toronto to Shanghai and Budapest<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Montreal\u2013Palma direct flight will debut the Airbus A321XLR in Europe<\/h3>\n

\u201cThe wait is nearly over as the imminent arrival of the revolutionary Airbus A321XLR<\/strong> marks the next phase of Air Canada\u2019s international growth. This innovative narrow-body aircraft opens up new and exciting global opportunities. Today we begin that journey of growth with the announcement of Palma as the first new destination made possible thanks to this fleet,\u201d adds Galardo.<\/p>\n

The A321XLR will be the first narrow-body aircraft in Air Canada\u2019s fleet to feature lie-flat seats in Business Class<\/strong>, thus offering a wide-body experience on a narrow-body jet. It will have 182 seats<\/strong>, distributed between 14 seats in Signature Class (Business)<\/strong> and 168 in Economy Class<\/strong>. In addition, it will mark \u201cthe beginning of a new era in Air Canada\u2019s cabin interiors, with a new design standard for the onboard experience<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n
