{"id":148983,"date":"2025-09-11T10:44:27","date_gmt":"2025-09-11T08:44:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/trece-municipios-mallorca-servicio-conjunto-taxi\/"},"modified":"2025-09-11T10:48:54","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T08:48:54","slug":"trece-municipios-mallorca-servicio-conjunto-taxi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/en\/trece-municipios-mallorca-servicio-conjunto-taxi\/","title":{"rendered":"Thirteen municipalities in the centre and north of Mallorca launch a joint taxi service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"338\" data-end=\"619\">The <strong data-start=\"341\" data-end=\"372\">Government of the Balearic Islands<\/strong> has launched a <strong data-start=\"396\" data-end=\"431\">new joint taxi service<\/strong> connecting <strong>13 municipalities<\/strong> in the <strong data-start=\"462\" data-end=\"492\">centre and north of Mallorca<\/strong>, aiming to improve mobility, increase vehicle availability and facilitate travel between towns.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"338\" data-end=\"619\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-35687 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/taxi-e1753790194814.jpg\" alt=\"lack of taxis in Mallorca\" width=\"780\" height=\"520\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"621\" data-end=\"1038\">This <strong data-start=\"626\" data-end=\"670\">special passenger pick-up scheme<\/strong> will operate throughout the year in the municipalities of <strong data-start=\"727\" data-end=\"847\">Pollen\u00e7a, Alc\u00fadia, Muro, Santa Margalida, Sa Pobla, Llub\u00ed, Inca, Binissalem, Alar\u00f3, Selva, Campanet, Petra and Escorca<\/strong>. The initiative is part of the <strong data-start=\"881\" data-end=\"920\">single taxi fare in Mallorca<\/strong>, promoted by the Government, which aims to encourage inter-municipal agreements and optimise transport services.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1045\" data-end=\"1092\">How the joint taxi service works<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1094\" data-end=\"1365\">The system allows taxis licensed in any of the participating municipalities to <strong data-start=\"1189\" data-end=\"1272\">pick up passengers in another municipality and transport them anywhere in Mallorca<\/strong>, while always ensuring <strong data-start=\"1298\" data-end=\"1362\">priority service in the vehicle&#8217;s home municipality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1367\" data-end=\"1414\">The agreement will be implemented gradually:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1415\" data-end=\"1592\">\n<li data-start=\"1415\" data-end=\"1550\">\n<p data-start=\"1417\" data-end=\"1550\"><strong data-start=\"1417\" data-end=\"1448\">Effective from this Sunday<\/strong>: Alar\u00f3, Alc\u00fadia, Campanet, Escorca, Inca, Muro, Petra, Pollen\u00e7a, Sa Pobla, Santa Margalida and Selva.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1551\" data-end=\"1592\">\n<p data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1592\"><strong data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1569\">Coming soon<\/strong>: Binissalem and Llub\u00ed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1594\" data-end=\"1855\">The collaboration will have a <strong data-start=\"1628\" data-end=\"1650\">one-year duration<\/strong>, with annual renewal up to a maximum of <strong data-start=\"1692\" data-end=\"1707\">four years<\/strong>, and will operate <strong data-start=\"1722\" data-end=\"1768\">24 hours a day, 365 days a year<\/strong>, for both street-hail services and requests via mobile apps.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1862\" data-end=\"1934\">Taxi fares in Mallorca: single rate for all municipalities<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1936\" data-end=\"2242\">The <strong data-start=\"1939\" data-end=\"1970\">Government of the Balearic Islands<\/strong> established a <strong data-start=\"1990\" data-end=\"2036\">single urban taxi fare in Mallorca<\/strong> last June to simplify services and encourage joint taxi agreements between municipalities. The single fare ensures transparency for passengers and makes journey planning easier.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2244\" data-end=\"2320\">The <strong data-start=\"2248\" data-end=\"2279\">taxi fares in Mallorca<\/strong> are set as follows:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2322\" data-end=\"3161\">\n<li data-start=\"2322\" data-end=\"2374\">\n<p data-start=\"2324\" data-end=\"2374\"><strong data-start=\"2324\" data-end=\"2364\">Price per kilometre on weekdays<\/strong>: \u20ac1.20<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2375\" data-end=\"2433\">\n<p data-start=\"2377\" data-end=\"2433\"><strong data-start=\"2377\" data-end=\"2423\">Price per kilometre on holidays or at night<\/strong>: \u20ac1.35<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2434\" data-end=\"2484\">\n<p data-start=\"2436\" data-end=\"2484\"><strong data-start=\"2436\" data-end=\"2474\">Flag drop on weekdays<\/strong>: \u20ac2.50<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2485\" data-end=\"2541\">\n<p data-start=\"2487\" data-end=\"2541\"><strong data-start=\"2487\" data-end=\"2531\">Flag drop on holidays or at night<\/strong>: \u20ac2.85<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2542\" data-end=\"2590\">\n<p data-start=\"2544\" data-end=\"2590\"><strong data-start=\"2544\" data-end=\"2579\">Waiting time per hour on weekdays<\/strong>: \u20ac19.40<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2591\" data-end=\"2645\">\n<p data-start=\"2593\" data-end=\"2645\"><strong data-start=\"2593\" data-end=\"2634\">Waiting time per hour on holidays or at night<\/strong>: \u20ac21.40<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2646\" data-end=\"2692\">\n<p data-start=\"2648\" data-end=\"2692\"><strong data-start=\"2648\" data-end=\"2682\">Airport or port surcharge<\/strong>: \u20ac4.65<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2693\" data-end=\"2773\">\n<p data-start=\"2695\" data-end=\"2773\"><strong data-start=\"2695\" data-end=\"2719\">Mountain surcharge 1<\/strong> (Sa Calobra, Cala Tuent or Cap de Formentor): \u20ac8.52<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2774\" data-end=\"2924\">\n<p data-start=\"2776\" data-end=\"2924\"><strong data-start=\"2776\" data-end=\"2800\">Mountain surcharge 2<\/strong> (Banyalbufar, Estellencs, Dei\u00e0 via S\u00f3ller, Cala Dei\u00e0, Sa Marina de Valldemossa, Escorca, Orient and Coll de S\u00f3ller): \u20ac4.26<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2925\" data-end=\"2964\">\n<p data-start=\"2927\" data-end=\"2964\"><strong data-start=\"2927\" data-end=\"2957\">Surcharge for 5 or 6 passengers<\/strong>: \u20ac3<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2965\" data-end=\"3004\">\n<p data-start=\"2967\" data-end=\"3004\"><strong data-start=\"2967\" data-end=\"2997\">Surcharge for 7 or 8 passengers<\/strong>: \u20ac6<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3005\" data-end=\"3058\">\n<p data-start=\"3007\" data-end=\"3058\"><strong data-start=\"3007\" data-end=\"3048\">Christmas and New Year surcharge<\/strong>: \u20ac4.75<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3059\" data-end=\"3109\">\n<p data-start=\"3061\" data-end=\"3109\"><strong data-start=\"3061\" data-end=\"3099\">Radio or dispatcher surcharge<\/strong>: \u20ac1.15<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3110\" data-end=\"3161\">\n<p data-start=\"3112\" data-end=\"3161\"><strong data-start=\"3112\" data-end=\"3150\">Minimum fare from the airport<\/strong>: \u20ac16.95<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"3163\" data-end=\"3445\">This <strong data-start=\"3168\" data-end=\"3184\">single fare<\/strong> will automatically apply to any municipality participating in joint service agreements after approval by the municipal council, and it will be periodically reviewed by the Government to ensure <strong data-start=\"3383\" data-end=\"3442\">administrative unification and service transparency<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3163\" data-end=\"3445\">This collaboration is part of measures promoted by the Government to encourage agreements between municipalities to improve taxi services. The special pick-up scheme in the centre and north of Mallorca adds to the scheme already applied in <strong>eight municipalities in the Bay of Palma and the Serra de Tramuntana<\/strong>\u2014for the summer season, from June to September (More information at <a href=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/en\/taxis-mallorca-servicio-conjunto-8-municipios\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>this link<\/strong><\/a>).
