From August 13 to 17, 2025<\/strong>, Palma de Mallorca<\/strong> will host the XXX Illes Balears Cl\u00e0ssics Regatta<\/strong>, a landmark nautical event in the Mediterranean that will bring together 40 historic vessels<\/strong> and true maritime treasures such as the Tuiga<\/strong> (1909) and The Lady Anne<\/strong> (1912). Organized by the Club de Mar-Mallorca<\/strong>, this event celebrates three decades as an unmissable meeting point for lovers of vintage sailing<\/strong> and the preservation of maritime heritage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Legendary Vessels and Exclusive Debuts<\/h2>\n

Among the highlights of this edition is the participation of the Cariad<\/strong>, a 36-metre sailing yacht built in 1896, making its regatta debut. Joining it will be unmistakable classics such as Manitou<\/strong>, The Lady Anne<\/strong> and Tuiga<\/strong>, as well as large yachts like the Do\u00f1a Francisca<\/strong>, which this year will be part of the special Presencia<\/em> section, designed for unique boats that take part without competing.<\/p>\n

The vessels will compete in categories such as Classics<\/strong>, Gaff Rig<\/strong>, Bermuda Rig<\/strong>, RI Classics<\/strong>, Spirit of Tradition<\/strong> and Large Yachts<\/strong>. The courses will range from 8 to 22 miles, including a long-distance race that will put the crews\u2019 skills to the test.<\/p>\n

Economic Impact and Commitment to Sustainability<\/h2>\n

The Club de Mar-Mallorca<\/strong> estimates an economic return of \u20ac1.7 million<\/strong> for the Balearic community, 25% more than in the previous edition. In addition, the event strengthens its environmental commitment: proceeds from beverage sales will be donated in full to the Almas Marinas Foundation<\/strong>, and in collaboration with Sail4Earth<\/strong>, an award will be given to the vessel that donates the most to the protection of marine reserves through the Uno Earth<\/strong> app.<\/p>\n
