Their adventures, traced in unforgettable cartoons, are part of the collective imagination and can now be rediscovered in<strong> \u201cComic. Dreams and History\u201d<\/strong>, the exhibition that <strong>CaixaForum Palma<\/strong> is dedicating to the history of Western comic art.\u00a0Open until the <strong>24th of August 2025<\/strong>, it brings together 195 iconic works by authors such as Herg\u00e9, Moebius, Jack Kirby, Hugo Pratt, Will Eisner, Robert Crumb, and Goscinny and Uderzo, among others, in a journey that celebrates the talent, imagination and narrative power of the ninth art.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_120194\" style=\"width: 790px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-120194\" class=\"size-full wp-image-120193\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Expo_01_COMIC.webp\" alt=\"Caixaforum C\u00f3mic\" width=\"780\" height=\"520\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-120194\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Comic panels on display in a room at CaixaForum Palma. Photos: CaixaForum Palma.<\/p><\/div>\n<p data-start=\"738\" data-end=\"1232\">The exhibition offers a unique immersion into this fascinating universe\u2014a journey that highlights both the key moments in its development and its remarkable ability to anticipate futures and construct parallel worlds. Among the most recognisable pieces are iconic titles such as <em data-start=\"1138\" data-end=\"1154\">The Yellow Kid<\/em> by Richard Felton Outcault, <em data-start=\"1183\" data-end=\"1211\">Little Nemo in Slumberland<\/em> by Winsor McCay, <em data-start=\"1229\" data-end=\"1252\">Terry and the Pirates<\/em> by Milton Caniff, <em data-start=\"1271\" data-end=\"1289\">Secret Agent X-9<\/em> by Alex Raymond, <em data-start=\"1307\" data-end=\"1328\">A Contract with God<\/em> by Will Eisner, and many more.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"113\" data-end=\"618\">Organised into eight thematic sections, the display traces the medium\u2019s expansion through mass printing, the golden age of American comics, the rise of Franco-Belgian <em data-start=\"280\" data-end=\"298\">bandes dessin\u00e9es<\/em>, and the adult turn after May &#8217;68. CaixaForum Palma.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An in-depth look at the life, work and friendship of two key figures of Modernism: Ignacio Zuloaga and Hermen Anglada-Camarasa, whose relationship was consolidated through meetings and letters in which they exchanged ideas about art and their personal and sentimental concerns.
