The Consell<\/strong> will allocate 2.1 million euros<\/strong> in aid to promote the local product of Mallorca<\/strong> in 2025<\/strong>, a 50% increase<\/strong> compared to 2024, when 1.4 million<\/strong> was allocated. These subsidies, managed by the Department of Economic Promotion and Local Development<\/strong>, are divided into three lines: 1 million for town councils<\/strong>, 650,000 euros for non-profit associations and cooperatives<\/strong>, and 450,000 euros for companies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The president of the Consell, Lloren\u00e7 Galm\u00e9s<\/strong>, emphasised that the budget increase aims to highlight the quality of Mallorcan products and support the island’s productive sectors. Meanwhile, the councillor Pilar Amate<\/strong> noted that the higher allocation will allow more beneficiaries and speed up the processing of aid payments.<\/p>\n

The subsidies finance projects such as events, fairs, talks, tastings or exhibitions that promote the local product of Mallorca<\/strong>. In the case of town councils, the budget increases by 46%<\/strong> compared to 2024, with a maximum of 20,000 euros per project<\/strong> and an extended justification period of 30 working days<\/strong>. For non-profit entities, the budget rises by 62%<\/strong>, with aid of up to 30,000 euros<\/strong> and the possibility of advances of 50%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For the first time, a specific line has been included for companies and profit-making entities, with a budget 50% higher<\/strong> than last year and maximum aid of 30,000 euros<\/strong>. Criteria have been adjusted so that producers and traders can access the aid on equal terms, encouraging marketing outside the island.<\/p>\n

The success of previous calls, with 63 beneficiaries in 2024<\/strong>, motivated this budget increase to reach more projects in 2025. Applications can be submitted on the Consell’s electronic headquarters until 19 June<\/strong>, following publication in the BOIB<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the presentation of the aid, the president of the Consell de Mallorca, Lloren\u00e7 Galm\u00e9s, emphasised that they will “highlight our excellent products. We also want to strengthen the work carried out by the island\u2019s productive sectors to offer consumers food and items of excellent quality.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the councillor for Economic Promotion and Local Development, Pilar Amate, said that “the increase in funds allocated to subsidies for the promotion of our local product will allow for a greater number of beneficiaries,” and also stressed that “in our department we have prioritised speeding up all procedures so that payment of this aid takes place as soon as possible.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
