Sunday 27 April<\/strong> will see Castell de Bellver<\/strong> once again become the setting for one of Palma\u2019s most cherished festivities: Diumenge de l’\u00c0ngel 2025<\/strong>. From 10:30 am to 5:00 pm<\/strong>, visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities for all ages in a festive day that combines history, tradition and community involvement.<\/p>\n

One of the most anticipated moments of the day will be the traditional ascent to the castle<\/strong> starting at 11:00 am<\/strong>, along with the moving \u00c0ngel procession<\/strong> at 1:30 pm<\/strong>, two essential highlights that draw hundreds of people every year and commemorate a tradition that dates back more than 600 years<\/strong>. Organised by the Federaci\u00f3 d\u2019Associacions de Ve\u00efns de Palma<\/strong> with the collaboration of the City Council, this celebration was revived in 1981 and honours the Feast of the Guardian Angel<\/strong>, former patron saint of the city, held on the first Sunday after Easter.<\/p>\n

Casteller gathering, historical monologues and more at Diumenge de l’\u00c0ngel 2025<\/strong><\/h2>\n

One of the main events of the programme will be the Casteller gathering<\/strong>, taking place at 3:30 pm<\/strong> featuring the Castellers de Mallorca<\/strong>, the Al\u00b7lots de Llevant casteller group<\/strong> (Manacor), and the university team Gambirots from the UIB<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Throughout the day, there will also be historical monologues<\/strong> inspired by characters from the castle, a re-enactment of the historical assault<\/strong> by Milites Maioricarum<\/strong>, musical performances including the Son Dameto Choir<\/strong>, a K-POP show by K-Rapinya<\/strong>, and traditional dances<\/strong> by the Escola de Ball de Bunyola<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For the little ones, a children\u2019s area will be set up in the castle car park<\/strong>, offering workshops<\/strong>, games<\/strong>, the Traffic Park by Palma Local Police<\/strong>, activities by the EMT<\/strong>, and a \u2018tir de fona\u2019 slingshot zone<\/strong>. The Mounted Police stables<\/strong> will also be open for guided visits from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
