The <strong>Consell de Mallorca<\/strong> presents, for the <strong>second consecutive year<\/strong>, the renewed staging of the <strong>Via Crucis<\/strong> in Mallorca under the name <strong><em data-start=\"391\" data-end=\"404\">Apassionant<\/em><\/strong>. With the group <strong>Pinyol Vermell<\/strong> at the helm, the performance combines <strong>theatre, photography, and music<\/strong> to offer a unique interpretation of the <strong>Passion of Christ<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_118849\" style=\"width: 790px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-118849\" class=\"size-full wp-image-118849\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Via-Crucis-2025-Sineu-3.webp\" alt=\"V\u00eda Crucis 2025\" width=\"780\" height=\"520\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-118849\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photos: Consell de Mallorca.<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"556\" data-end=\"843\">After the <strong>outstanding success of the first edition<\/strong> held last year at La Miseric\u00f2rdia, the Consell has decided to repeat this event, which has already become a <strong>cultural reference<\/strong>, merging tradition and modernity in a proposal that attracts both devotees and culture enthusiasts. Admission is completely <strong>free<\/strong>, allowing all audiences to enjoy this unique performance.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"845\" data-end=\"894\"><strong data-start=\"845\" data-end=\"894\">A contemporary representation of the Via Crucis in Mallorca<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"896\" data-end=\"1383\"><em data-start=\"896\" data-end=\"909\">Apassionant<\/em> is not just any Via Crucis. Lasting <strong>50 minutes<\/strong>, the performance offers an updated view of the events that marked the Passion of Christ: from the triumphant entry into Jerusalem to the resurrection of Jesus. The main characters, such as Jesus, Mary, Mary Magdalene, and Judas, will be portrayed by <strong>eight actors<\/strong> who, in addition to their acting, will wear <strong>18th-century attire<\/strong>, adding a historical touch to this artistic proposal.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"896\" data-end=\"1383\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-118847 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Via-Crucis-2025-Sineu.webp\" alt=\"V\u00eda Crucis\" width=\"780\" height=\"520\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"896\" data-end=\"1383\">What sets <em data-start=\"1457\" data-end=\"1470\">Apassionant<\/em> apart from traditional representations is the integration of <strong>various artistic languages<\/strong>. Music, photography, and theatre intertwine masterfully to create a unique atmosphere that not only invites reflection but also highlights the importance of aesthetics in religious tradition. Every photograph, every verse, and every gesture of the actors are carefully designed to convey deep emotions and symbolic meanings that go beyond mere narrative.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"896\" data-end=\"1383\">The Vice President of the Consell de Mallorca and Minister of Culture and Heritage, <strong>Ant\u00f2nia Roca<\/strong>, explained, &#8220;After the excellent reception last year, this year we want to continue offering a renewed and updated vision of the Via Crucis. <em>Apassionant<\/em>, by Pinyol Vermell, is a reinterpretation of the Way of the Cross that moves away from the traditional ones commonly seen during these holidays in various places in Mallorca.
