This initiative, aimed at <strong>Year 5 and 6 primary school students<\/strong>, seeks to <strong>promote<\/strong> the practice of <strong>water sports<\/strong> such as <strong>sailing, canoeing, and paddle surfing<\/strong>, while raising <strong>environmental awareness<\/strong> among young people.<\/p>\n<p>This programme has been launched by several government departments in collaboration with the <strong>Balearic Sailing Federation<\/strong> and the <strong>Balearic Canoeing Federation<\/strong>. The sessions will combine <strong>theory and practice<\/strong> and will run from <strong>9:00 AM to 1:00 PM<\/strong>. The theoretical part will include talks on <strong>basic navigation concepts, maritime safety regulations, and the issue of plastic pollution<\/strong> in marine ecosystems. Additionally, workshops will be held where students will learn how to tie <strong>marine knots and repurpose recycled materials<\/strong> to create useful objects. Photo: CAIB.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The presentation event was held at <strong>Club N\u00e0utic de Cala Gamba<\/strong> and was attended by the Minister for the Sea and the Water Cycle, <strong>Juan Manuel Lafuente<\/strong>, along with other institutional and nautical sector representatives. During the event, the official Blue Week video was shown, and the promotional poster with the slogan &#8220;Get closer to the sea and start your adventure&#8221; was unveiled.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1348\" data-end=\"1699\">Minister Lafuente highlighted the significance of this initiative as part of the government\u2019s commitment to <strong>environmental education<\/strong> and the promotion of maritime sports.
