The Balearic Government has announced the programme of activities for the celebration of Dia de les Illes Balears 2025<\/strong>, which will take place from 28 February to 2 March<\/strong> under the slogan #PRIDE<\/strong>. The Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, Ant\u00f2nia Maria Estarellas<\/strong>, highlighted that this year 298 activities<\/strong> have been organised across Mallorca, Menorca, Eivissa, and Formentera\u2014an increase of 14% compared to the previous edition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The programme will kick off on 27 February with a concert by the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra<\/strong> and continue on 28 February with the presentation of the Gold Medals and Ramon Llull Awards<\/a><\/strong>. The main celebrations will take place on 1 and 2 March across all islands<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Dia de les Illes Balears 2025: a programme full of culture, gastronomy, and sport<\/h3>\n

The activities include children\u2019s events, sports, gastronomy, and cultural activities<\/strong> across the islands. In total, Mallorca will host 235 activities<\/strong>, 197<\/strong> of them in Palma<\/strong> and 38 in other municipalities<\/strong>. Menorca will have 41 events, Eivissa 18, and Formentera 4.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s celebration introduces new events such as the llaut exhibition at Parc de la Mar<\/strong> and activities from the Maritime Museum at Ses Voltes<\/strong>. The local products market<\/strong> at Hort del Rei<\/strong> will feature 31 stalls, while Pla\u00e7a Drassana<\/strong> will be reserved for the Fishermen\u2019s Guild, participating in the event for the first time with 16 members from Mallorca and Eivissa. Meanwhile, Pla\u00e7a Porta de Santa Catalina<\/strong> will host the Booksellers\u2019 Guild<\/strong>, along with various children\u2019s activities.<\/p>\n

The traditional Dia de les Illes Balears 2025 market will take place on Saturday, 1 March, featuring 159 artisan and vendor stalls<\/strong> along Passeig Sagrera<\/strong>. Gastronomy will take centre stage at Sa Feixina<\/strong>, with a wide variety of traditional foods, including food trucks<\/em> and stalls from Regional Houses. This year, the government is focusing on a unified aesthetic<\/strong>, with all stands featuring a uniform design and a banner displaying the event\u2019s logo. Additionally, two information points with a hot air balloon will be set up at Passeig Sagrera<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

There will also be a Government of the Balearic Islands Exhibition<\/strong>, with all government ministries participating, featuring stands and activities for all ages at Parc de la Mar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Cris Juanico and Jaume Anglada<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The cultural programme includes concerts by local artists<\/strong> such as Cris Juanico and Jaume Anglada<\/strong>, as well as performances of ball de bot<\/strong>, a show by the Coral de Sant Francesc<\/strong>, and talks on lateen sailing<\/strong>. There will also be open house days<\/strong> at key landmarks such as the Consolat de Mar, La Lonja, the Cathedral, and the Almudaina Palace<\/strong>, along with guided tours of monuments in Eivissa and Menorca.<\/p>\n

Sport will also play a major role, with events including the 14th Cyclotourism March<\/strong>, the Balearic Islands Football Cup<\/strong>, the Sailing Championship<\/strong>, the Traditional Sling Shooting Competition<\/strong>, and the Govern de les Illes Balears Trotting Grand Prix<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
