Mayors from the Partido Popular<\/strong> in the Balearic Islands have concluded the intermunicipal meetings in Eivissa by signing the Dalt Vila Declaration<\/strong>, committing to applying tax reductions on municipal taxes for small private property owners<\/strong> affected by illegal squatting in the Balearic Islands<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This commitment is part of a series of measures aimed at consolidating the political change voted for by citizens in the islands. These include the streamlining of municipal licences<\/strong> through outsourcing to Urban Collaborative Entities (ECUS) or via the Consells Insulars, as well as the implementation of the Single Tax Declaration for the purchase of a first home (DUTI)<\/strong>, according to a statement from PP Balears.<\/p>\n

Fight against illegal squatting in the Balearic Islands<\/h3>\n

The president of PP Balears and the Balearic Government, Marga Prohens<\/strong>, has highlighted the importance of these initiatives, emphasising that the party prioritises housing, the defence of private property, and the fight against illegal squatting in the Balearic Islands. Additionally, she announced plans to invest in reducing water leaks in municipal networks<\/strong>, coordinate resources to combat illegal business practices and unregulated accommodation<\/strong>, and facilitate work-life balance<\/strong> by improving access to municipal facilities.<\/p>\n

Regarding urban planning, the Balearic Government has pledged to accelerate the processing of sectoral reports for housing licences<\/strong> and enhance training for municipal technicians to simplify administrative procedures.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Prohens reiterated the demand for the central government to provide a greater presence of the National Police and Civil Guard<\/strong> in municipalities and more resources to combat illegal immigration and criminal networks operating at the borders.<\/p>\n
