Led by Mayor <strong>Jaime Mart\u00ednez Llabr\u00e9s<\/strong>, a delegation of <strong>fourteen companies<\/strong> based in Palma, including two associations representing more than <strong>eighty businesses<\/strong>, will take part next week in a packed schedule of meetings and a key promotional event for the Balearic capital in the \u2018Big Apple\u2019.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"690\" data-end=\"1206\">This initiative, organised by the <strong>Fundaci\u00f3n Turismo Palma 365<\/strong> as part of its <strong>2025 Action Plan<\/strong>, aims to strengthen Palma\u2019s presence in a <strong>growing strategic market<\/strong>. Over three days, the municipal delegation, which also includes the Deputy Mayor for Tourism, Culture and Sports, <strong>Javier Bonet<\/strong>, the area coordinator, <strong>Fernando G\u00f3mez de la Cuesta<\/strong>, and the Foundation\u2019s manager, <strong>Pedro Homar<\/strong>, will hold meetings with <strong>leading tour operators and media outlets<\/strong> in the United States.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1208\" data-end=\"1266\"><strong data-start=\"1212\" data-end=\"1264\">Palma\u2019s businesses present themselves in New York to attract US tourism<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1268\" data-end=\"1737\">Accompanying the institutional delegation, some of Palma\u2019s most prominent tourism sector companies will participate in this commercial initiative, including <strong>Hoteles HM, Meli\u00e1 Hotels International, Aubamar, Summum Hotel Group, Essentially Mallorca, Grupo IT Mallorca, ASHPAMA, Son Marroig, Arabella, RCD Mallorca, Valpara\u00edso, Hyatt, Hotel Nakar, and Hotel Santa Clara<\/strong>. All of them will have the opportunity to establish connections with key players in the American tourism market.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1739\" data-end=\"1796\"><strong data-start=\"1743\" data-end=\"1794\">A high-profile event in a historic venue<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1798\" data-end=\"2202\"><strong>February 19 will be the highlight<\/strong> of this commercial mission, with an exclusive promotional event at the <strong>\u00c1ngel Orensanz Foundation<\/strong> in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. This iconic building, originally the oldest synagogue in New York, will serve as the venue for a gathering of nearly <strong>100 attendees<\/strong>, including representatives from major tour operators and media outlets.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_117206\" style=\"width: 790px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-117206\" class=\"size-full wp-image-117206\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Fundacion-Angel-Orensanz.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"780\" height=\"473\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-117206\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">\u00c1ngel Orensanz Foundation. Representatives from <strong>Turespa\u00f1a, Lonely Planet, United Airlines<\/strong> (which has already announced a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/en\/united-airlines-ofrecera-un-50-mas-de-asientos-en-el-vuelo-directo-palma-nueva-york-en-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">50% increase in seats on the direct Palma-New York flight<\/a><\/strong>), and <strong>Virtuoso<\/strong>, the prestigious luxury travel agency consortium, will participate. This will be followed by a networking session where Mallorcan companies will be able to interact with local attendees.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2964\" data-end=\"3357\">The event will conclude with a presentation by Mayor Jaime Mart\u00ednez Llabr\u00e9s, who will outline Palma\u2019s tourism strategy to establish itself as a top-tier urban and cosmopolitan destination. His speech will highlight the city\u2019s <strong>cultural, heritage, and gastronomic richness<\/strong>, as well as its ability to attract <strong>high-quality tourism<\/strong> throughout the year.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"3359\" data-end=\"3439\"><strong data-start=\"3363\" data-end=\"3437\">Grand finale with the IV Paco de Luc\u00eda Mallorca-Palma Flamenca Festival<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"3441\" data-end=\"4073\">To conclude the evening, Palma will showcase its artistic talent with the presentation of the IV Paco de Luc\u00eda Mallorca Festival, set to take place from 8 to 14 March. Live music will take centre stage with a performance by young rising star <strong data-start=\"3684\" data-end=\"3698\">Maria Hein<\/strong>, who will sing and play <em data-start=\"3734\" data-end=\"3755\">La dama de Mallorca<\/em> on the piano. She will be followed by performances from pianist <strong data-start=\"3798\" data-end=\"3816\">Andr\u00e9s Barrios<\/strong> and flamenco dancer <strong data-start=\"3830\" data-end=\"3838\">Yiyo<\/strong>, accompanied on percussion by <strong data-start=\"3871\" data-end=\"3894\">Curro Conde Morente<\/strong>.
