Once again, the Balearic Islands<\/strong> will be present at the International Tourism Fair<\/strong> (Fitur) 2025<\/strong>, held from 22 to 26 January<\/strong> in Madrid<\/strong>. This year, the islands are presenting themselves as a sustainable tourist destination<\/strong>, committed to the preservation of their natural environment<\/strong> and the authenticity of their offer<\/strong>. Through their participation, they aim to strengthen their image in the national market<\/strong> and highlight their model of responsible tourism<\/strong>, according to sources from the Balearic Government.<\/p>\n The Balearic Islands\u2019 stand at FITUR 2025, covering 1,000 m\u00b2<\/strong>, is inspired by water and its ecosystems<\/strong>, with a design reflecting the commitment to sustainability<\/strong>. This installation has been funded with the funds from the European Union Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan<\/strong> and will be fully accessible<\/strong>. The stand features different areas dedicated to each of the islands: Mallorca, Menorca, Eivissa and Formentera<\/strong>, organised around a large central agora that acts as a meeting point. Additionally, 12 municipalities<\/strong> from Mallorca and 8<\/strong> from Menorca will be present, along with a total of 12 private co-exhibitors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Gastronomic space<\/strong><\/p>\n For the first time at FITUR, the Balearic Islands will feature a gastronomic space<\/strong>, coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Natural Environment, dedicated to the promotion of local products<\/strong> as a key element of the tourism offering. This space aims to highlight the islands’ indigenous products, integrating them into the tourism experience through showcookings and tastings<\/strong>, allowing visitors to discover Balearic cuisine in an authentic way. The gastronomic space will offer a series of daily activities combining traditional cuisine with local wines, reinforcing the connection between gastronomy, tourism, and sustainability<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Wednesday, 22 January:<\/strong><\/p>\n Thursday, 23 January:<\/strong><\/p>\n Friday, 24 January:<\/strong><\/p>\n Saturday, 25 January:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n For its part, the island of Mallorca<\/strong> participates in FITUR 2025 with a renewed focus on responsible and accessible tourism. The island will be the host destination of FITUR 4All<\/strong>, highlighting its commitment to inclusion and sustainability. During the fair, the Consell de Mallorca<\/strong> will present the Biennal B<\/strong>, an innovative cultural project promoting sustainability through art and design<\/strong>. Additionally, accessible sports tourism<\/strong> will be promoted with the dry stone route<\/strong> (GR-221).
