This remarkable increase highlights the organisation\u2019s commitment to <strong>more agile and efficient management<\/strong> of nautical infrastructure, adapting to the growing demand in the sector, according to sources from the Balearic Government.<\/p>\n<p>The expansion has been achieved through a significant increase in the number of moorings offered. While 126 moorings were proposed in 2023, the figure rose to 292 in 2024, with 142 already awarded. This progress demonstrates a <strong>strong commitment to improving public ports<\/strong> and promoting access to them.<\/p>\n<h3>Upcoming allocations<\/h3>\n<p>Looking ahead, PortsIB is preparing allocations for 2025, which will include moorings in <strong>Andratx, Sant Elm, Banyalbufar, Ciutadella<\/strong>, and <strong>the Port of Cala Ratjada<\/strong>, where a new distribution plan is being developed to optimise port space.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_113884\" style=\"width: 790px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-113884\" class=\"size-full wp-image-113884\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Puerto-de-Sant-Antoni-de-Portmany.webp\" alt=\"Port of Sant Antoni de Portmany\" width=\"780\" height=\"518\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-113884\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Port of Sant Antoni de Portmany. Photo: CAIB.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Additionally, allocation processes will be reopened in ports with moorings still available, such as <strong>Sant Antoni de Portmany, Col\u00f2nia de Sant Jordi, S&#8217;Oberta, Fornells, and Es Barcar\u00e8s<\/strong>, offering new opportunities for those who missed out in previous rounds.<\/p>\n<h3>Commitment to sustainable growth<\/h3>\n<p>These initiatives reinforce PortsIB\u2019s dedication to <strong>sustainable growth in the recreational boating sector<\/strong>, considered a key pillar of economic and social development in the Balearic Islands.
