Thus was born Pitxorines, a group that breathes new life into the popular songbook by fusing traditional sounds with influences from jazz and classical music. The group, made up of Maria Ant\u00f2nia Gili, Aina Tramullas, Maria Adrover, Rosa Garcias, Sinead Cormican, Carmela Cristos, Mas\u00e9 Jara, Silvia Rechac and Bel Miquel, has created a unique proposal that intertwines the sound of the xeremia, flabiol and tamborino with violin, double bass or piano. Beltr\u00e1n.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>After a great reception from the public, these \u2018young, cheerful and funny girls\u2019 (meaning of pitxorines, a Mallorcan word in disuse) decided to release their first album.
