This artisan market offers a unique experience where tradition, culture, and flavour come together. Visitors can enjoy tastings of the iconic almond milk<\/strong>, alongside a festive atmosphere with music, dancing, and activities for the whole family<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

From early morning, the streets will come alive with an artisan market<\/strong>, music from xeremiers<\/em>, and a lively parade featuring giants and cabezudos. Among the most notable activities are the concert<\/strong> by the Municipal Band of Marratx\u00ed<\/strong>, a popular meal<\/strong> of fideus bruts<\/em>, a tardeo<\/strong> hosted by Dj Dani Bustos and Dj Jara<\/strong>, and a traditional dance<\/strong> of jotas and boleros inviting people of all ages to join. The day will conclude with a Christmas concert<\/strong> at P\u00f2rtol church, performed by the Schola Cantorum of Mallorca and the Coral Sant Miquel de Campanet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The history of this fair is closely tied to the community’s tradition and faith. The origins of almond milk date back to 1682<\/strong>, when friars from Santa Maria del Cam\u00ed<\/strong> introduced this drink as a vegetarian alternative to cow\u2019s milk<\/strong>. During festive times, the friars would share this product with their neighbours, fostering a tradition that has been preserved to this day thanks to families<\/strong> who continue to use artisan mills<\/strong> to produce it. Celebrate Nadal in Marratx\u00ed 2024-2025<\/h3>\n

This fair is part of the \u201cCelebrate Nadal in Marratx\u00ed 2024-2025\u201d<\/strong> festivities, which began on 28 November<\/strong> and will run until 17 January<\/strong>. During this period, the municipality will host a wide range of activities for all ages, including Christmas markets<\/strong>, mass services<\/strong>, concerts<\/strong>, workshops<\/strong>, storytelling sessions<\/strong>, and tardeos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
