This event, which includes the <strong>XVII Mostra de Matances <\/strong>(Slaughter Fair), highlights local traditions and the products derived from the &#8220;matanzas&#8221;, which are essential to Mallorca\u2019s gastronomy and culture.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-110952 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/sobrasada.webp\" alt=\"sobrasada, bread with sobrasada\" width=\"780\" height=\"519\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The fair offers a full programme of activities for all the family, including recreations of the <strong>traditional matanzas<\/strong>, <strong>fried sobrasada and wine tastings<\/strong>, as well as typical <strong>winter dishes<\/strong> in the <strong>local restaurants and bars<\/strong>. Visitors will be able to enjoy special menus that highlight the star products of the fair. Attendees can enjoy a <strong>parade of xeremiers and gegants<\/strong> at 9:30 am, filling the streets of Sineu with traditional music and the majestic presence of the giants. Throughout the day, there will also be dance performances by the groups <strong>Copeo de Sineu<\/strong> and <strong>Brot d&#8217;Alfabaguera<\/strong>, showcasing the most representative folk dances of the island. For animal lovers, there will be a <strong>hunting exhibition<\/strong> organised by the <strong>Societat de ca\u00e7adors de Sineu<\/strong>, as well as exhibitions of native birds and the <strong>III International Pigeon Breeding Competition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Fira de Sant Tom\u00e0s 2024 in Sineu.
