These include the <strong>Sa Calobra road from the Nuu de la Corbata<\/strong>, the entire <strong>Coll de S\u00f3ller<\/strong>, the <strong>Bunyola-Orient-Alar\u00f3 road<\/strong>, and the <strong>Andratx to Estellencs road<\/strong>, extending to the <strong>Banyalbufar<\/strong> crossing. According to the Department of Territory, Mobility and Infrastructure, these roads have gone <strong>over two decades without a complete resurfacing<\/strong>. In addition to a <strong>new high-quality asphalt<\/strong>, the works will include <strong>improvements in safety and accessibility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-110882 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/carreteras-serra-de-tramuntana.webp\" alt=\"Image of a road in the Serra de Tramuntana\" width=\"780\" height=\"520\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The President of the Consell, Lloren\u00e7 Galm\u00e9s, emphasised that these projects are part of the insular institution\u2019s commitment to modernising infrastructure and ensuring the safety of vehicles, cyclists, and public transport. The works will begin in January and will continue throughout the year, following a detailed plan:<\/p>\n<h2>Details of the projects on the Serra de Tramuntana road network<\/h2>\n<h3>Andratx to Estellencs road:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Budget: \u20ac4 million<\/li>\n<li>Distance: 17 kilometres, up to the Banyalbufar crossing.<\/li>\n<li>Start of works: January 2025.<\/li>\n<li>Planned improvements: Reinforcement of the road surface, installation of new safety barriers, adjustment of ditches and accesses, and new signage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Bunyola-Orient-Alar\u00f3 road:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Budget: \u20ac6 million, partly funded through the \u20ac30 million insularity factor provided by the Balearic Government.<\/li>\n<li>Distance: 18 kilometres.<\/li>\n<li>Start of works: Preliminary tasks in July and main phase in September 2025.<\/li>\n<li>Planned improvements: Removal of deteriorated asphalt, compaction of the terrain, stabilisation of two slopes, new safety barriers, and updated signage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Sa Calobra road (from the Nuu de la Corbata to the Sa Calobra settlement):<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Budget: \u20ac3 million.<\/li>\n<li>Distance: 13.3 kilometres.<\/li>\n<li>Start of works: September 2025.<\/li>\n<li>Planned improvements: Complete resurfacing, installation of new barriers, and updated signage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Coll de S\u00f3ller road:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Budget: \u20ac3.5 million.<\/li>\n<li>Distance: 13 kilometres.<\/li>\n<li>Start of works: September 2025.<\/li>\n<li>Planned improvements: Includes resurfacing, new safety barriers, and updated signage.
