The weekend of 19 and 20 October<\/strong> will mark the start of the traditional Fires d’Inca 2024<\/strong>, an event that each year turns the capital of Raiguer into a focal point of autumn in Mallorca. For three weeks, Inca will be filled with activities and events that will attract both locals and visitors from across the island.<\/p>\n

The Mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno<\/strong>, and the Councillor for Fairs, Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, alongside associations, clubs, and local entities, presented the programme at the Son Catiu<\/strong> estate, emphasising the importance of these fairs for the city. “Our city is the heart of Mallorca, both geographically and symbolically. Inca is a place with a strong and recognised identity,” said Mayor Moreno.<\/p>\n

\"Fires<\/h3>\n

More than 200 activities at the Fires d’Inca 2024<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Fires d’Inca 2024<\/strong> will feature more than 200 activities<\/strong> planned for all audiences, thanks to the collaboration of various associations and local groups. Councillor Fern\u00e1ndez highlighted that the goal is to offer a varied and accessible programme, with events that encourage citizen participation and provide entertainment for all ages and interests.<\/p>\n

Fira de la Terra: 19 and 20 October<\/h3>\n

The first weekend, 19 and 20 October<\/strong>, will celebrate the Fira de la Terra<\/strong>, kicking off the festivities. Among the standout events are the Trobada de Cossos d\u2019Emerg\u00e8ncia Memorial Juan Cifuentes<\/strong>, with demonstrations and drills by the Balearic emergency services, and the Fira de la Ci\u00e8ncia<\/strong>, featuring workshops and exhibitions on robotics and environmental education. Additionally, the Mercat de Plantes i Flors<\/strong> will offer a wide variety of plants and flowers, while children can enjoy activities such as games and crafts.<\/p>\n

The second weekend, 26 and 27 October<\/strong>, will be dedicated to the Fira de l\u2019Esport i del Motor<\/strong>, focusing on sports and vehicles.<\/p>\n

Highlights include the popular Cursa de Carretons<\/strong>, returning after last year’s success, and the spectacular Fira del Motor<\/strong>, with exhibitions for motor enthusiasts. Additionally, the Leatherfest Rock Festival<\/strong> will combine live music and classic car displays, while the Tast de Ball<\/strong> will offer dance performances and sports activities.<\/p>\n

Fira d\u2019\u00c8poca: 1, 2 and 3 November<\/h3>\n

The cycle of fairs will culminate on the weekend of 1 to 3 November<\/strong> with the Fira d\u2019\u00c8poca<\/strong>, where Inca will travel back in time with its Mercat Medieval<\/strong>, ideal for lovers of historical gastronomy and crafts. A major new feature will be the presentation of the equestrian show \u201cCavallers del Rei Jaume I\u201d<\/strong>, which will transport attendees to the medieval era with re-enactments of knights and horses.<\/p>\n
