<\/p>\nBalearic Islands has consolidated its position as one of the top tourist destinations in Spain, welcoming over 2.5 million international passengers in July. This figure accounts for 23% of the total international travellers arriving in the country, according to the latest data from Turespa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n
The archipelago ranks among the leading regions for incoming tourism, surpassing other areas and showing a year-on-year growth of 4.7%. Although other regions, such as the Valencian Community and the Canary Islands, also experienced increases, Balearic Islands continues to stand out as a preferred destination for foreign tourists.<\/p>\n

The British market remains key for Balearic Islands, with nearly half of the 2.6 million British passengers who arrived in Spain in July choosing the islands as their destination. Additionally, a large number of these travellers, 80.8%, opted to fly with low-cost carriers.<\/p>\n
Germany is another crucial market for Baleares. Of the 1.6 million German passengers who travelled to Spain in July, nearly 50% headed to the archipelago. Unlike the British, a larger proportion of Germans preferred to fly with traditional airlines.<\/p>\n
Overall, Balearic Islands continues to attract a significant number of international tourists, maintaining its position as one of the most important destinations in Spain. Meanwhile, other regions like Catalonia, the Valencian Community, and the Canary Islands also captured a substantial volume of travellers, but with a lesser impact compared to the Balearic Islands.<\/p>\n
In the first seven months of 2024, Spain received 60.1 million international passengers, with Baleares playing a central role in this growth. In total, 56.6% of the international travellers who arrived in Spain in July came from European Union countries, marking a 9.7% increase from the previous year. The rest of the world accounted for 43.4%, with a 7.2% growth.
