The 2024 Festes de Sant Roc of Alar\u00f3<\/strong> are an annual event that transforms this charming village in the comarca of Raiguer into a centre of cultural, sports, and festive activities<\/strong>. Celebrated in honour of Sant Roc<\/strong>, these festivities are a deeply rooted tradition<\/strong> within the community, attracting both locals and visitors who seek to enjoy the varied programme. This year, the celebrations culminate on 16th August<\/strong>, the Day of Sant Roc, with a wide range of activities.<\/p>\n

One of the most anticipated and emblematic events is the Desfilada de Carrosses<\/strong>, which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary<\/strong>. This parade, taking place on 15th August at 19:00<\/strong>, is a tribute to half a century of tradition and local creativity. The floats, meticulously and originally decorated, parade through the streets of Alar\u00f3 accompanied by proud alaroners<\/em> in costume, offering a visual spectacle that highlights the artistic skill of the participants and the cohesion of the community.<\/p>\n

Activities for All Ages<\/h2>\n

Among the highlighted events, on 6th August<\/strong>, there is the concert by Maika Makovski<\/strong> at the Hostatgeria del Castell de Alar\u00f3, promising a magical night with her unmistakable musical style. On 8th August<\/strong>, the documentary Alar\u00f3 soim carrosses<\/strong><\/em> will be presented at the Teatre d’Alar\u00f3 at 19:00, followed by the Festa Verbal L’espera de la letargia<\/strong><\/em> at 22:00, an event that combines poetry, music, and reflection, highlighting the participation of the poet Maria Teresa Ferrer and other artists.<\/p>\n

The weekend<\/strong> is also packed with activities: on Saturday, 10th August<\/strong>, the GamingCat<\/strong> video game workshop for young people at the Teatre d’Alar\u00f3 stands out, as does the Revetlla jove<\/strong> at 23:00 in the Pla\u00e7a de la Vila, featuring performances by various bands and DJs. On Sunday, 11th August<\/strong>, the water games at the municipal pool at 10:30 promise fun for the little ones, and the night of humour with Rub\u00e9n Garc\u00eda<\/strong> at 22:00 at the Teatre d’Alar\u00f3 guarantees laughs for those over 16.<\/p>\n

The 2024 Festes de Sant Roc of Alar\u00f3 extend until 16th August, the Day of Sant Roc, when the traditional Ball dels Cossiers<\/strong> is celebrated at 10:00, followed by the Missa Major<\/strong> at 19:30, and concluding with the Correfoc de fi de festes<\/strong> at midnight, a pyrotechnic spectacle by the Ball de dimonis d’Alar\u00f3 and na Marranxa.<\/p>\n
