Name<\/strong>: Pierce Broderick.<\/p>\n

Time in Mallorca<\/strong>: 30 years.<\/p>\n

Profession<\/strong>: Real Estate Businessman.<\/p>\n

The Managing Director of the real estate company John Taylor Palma came to Mallorca 30 years ago, after 7 years living in London. “I fell in love with someone from here and… the love is still intact”. Asked about what he likes most about the island, the Irishman assures us that “above all its people, together with the nature, the beaches, the villages, the gastronomy, the wines and Palma city”.<\/p>\n

\"Sarah<\/p>\n

Name<\/strong>: Sarah and Ashley Phillips, Garth Law.<\/p>\n

Country of origin<\/strong>: United Kingdom and South Africa.<\/p>\n

Time in Mallorca<\/strong>: 30 years.<\/p>\n

Profession<\/strong>: Businessmen.<\/p>\n

Sarah and Ashley Phillips are English and have been on the island for 30 years. “Our parents brought us here,” they say from the shop they run in Santa Catalina, Wave Uniforms, which sells uniforms for yacht crews. Garth Law, a South African who arrived in Mallorca in 2002, also works with them. “We love Mallorca, the climate, the people, the food, the safety…”, the three explain with a smile on their faces. “Besides, it’s a magnificent place to raise your children,” they add.<\/p>\n

\"Sofia<\/p>\n

Name<\/strong> : Sofia Sandin.<\/p>\n

Country of birth<\/strong>: Sweden.<\/p>\n

Time in Mallorca<\/strong>: One year.<\/p>\n

Profession<\/strong>: Beauty salon owner.<\/p>\n

Sofia moved from Sweden to Mallorca because she needed “a change of scenery, a change of climate. Sweden is very dark and cold, I wanted better vibes, an island, a calmer place”. She is fascinated by the island’s nature, “everything is accessible; you have the sea, the city and the mountains in the same place. And good hospitals,” he says. She is now finalising the opening of her new integral beauty salon called Nume Palma.<\/p>\n

\"Emanuele<\/p>\n

Name<\/strong> : Emanuele Spagnuolo and Giancarlo Ors\u00ed.<\/p>\n

Country of origin<\/strong>: Italy.<\/p>\n

Time in Mallorca<\/strong>: Three years.<\/p>\n

Profession<\/strong>: Hotel businessmen.<\/p>\n

The hotel and catering sector unites these two Italians living in Mallorca. “I had been in the Canary Islands and a job opportunity came up here,” says Giancarlo, who previously worked in the fashion industry for 25 years. He manages the Nap pizzeria together with Emanuele, who moved to Mallorca with his family after the pandemic. “We already knew it, we liked it, and we don’t regret it because we love the quality of life here.<\/p>\n

\"Ling<\/p>\n

Name<\/strong>: Ling Ocker and Jenny.<\/p>\n

Country of origin<\/strong>: China.<\/p>\n

Time in Mallorca<\/strong>: Seven and a half years.<\/p>\n

Profession<\/strong>: Chinese medicine consultants.<\/p>\n

These two international women met in Mallorca. Ling lived in Singapore, Germany, Poland… But here on the island she found a place that was “open, very international, with a lot of light and from which you can easily travel to other places”. Jenny highlights “the friendly nature of the people of Spain, we enjoy the lifestyle very much and I think it will be forever, I have told my husband so”. Both say they are delighted with the choice of caf\u00e9s and restaurants on the island… “Although the prices have gone up,” they add.<\/p>\n

\"Robert<\/p>\n

Name<\/strong>: Robert Reijers.<\/p>\n

Country of birth<\/strong>: Sweden.<\/p>\n

Time in Mallorca<\/strong>: 5 years.<\/p>\n

Profession<\/strong>: Director of Sales and Partners of STCC.<\/p>\n

Robert is director of the STCC, Scandinavia’s leading touring car racing championship. He moved to Mallorca with his wife and dog, “first visiting a hotel, renting a flat and finally settling in Son Espanyolet”. He likes the atmosphere of Santa Catalina, but “we preferred a more local, quieter area”.
