This festivity, held this year on <strong>June 15<\/strong>, not only honors one of the region\u2019s <strong>most emblematic fruits<\/strong> but also highlights the <strong>cultural richness and agricultural tradition<\/strong> of Porreres.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-106862 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/0a-Fira-de-lAlbercoc-PORRERES-e1718028667825.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"583\" height=\"583\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Fira de l&#8217;Albercoc 2024 offers a <strong>wide range of activities for all ages<\/strong>. From tastings of apricot-derived products such as <strong>jams, liqueurs, and desserts<\/strong>, to <strong>cooking workshops<\/strong>, the popular apricot <strong>cutting contest<\/strong>, <strong>children&#8217;s games<\/strong>, and <strong>traditional dances<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Undoubtedly, the most anticipated moment is the <strong>farmers&#8217; market<\/strong>, where local producers sell their fresh apricots, as well as other <strong>artisan products<\/strong>. This market is a <strong>unique opportunity<\/strong> for visitors to buy directly from the farmers and learn more about the cultivation process.<\/p>\n<h2>Fira de l&#8217;Albercoc 2024 Programme<\/h2>\n<p><strong>11:00 am to 12:30 pm:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Archaeological pottery workshop by Raquel Barcel\u00f3. Recommended for ages 5 and up. Free until capacity is reached.\n<ul>\n<li>Location: Pla\u00e7a de la Vila<\/li>\n<li>Organized by: Department of Culture<\/li>\n<li>Sponsored by: Consell de Mallorca<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>5:30 pm to 10:00 pm:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fira de l&#8217;Albercoc. A day where you can find a variety of apricot producers, among other products related to this fruit.\n<ul>\n<li>Location: Pla\u00e7a de la Vila<\/li>\n<li>Organized by: Porreres Agricultural Cooperative and Department of Economic Promotion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>5:30 pm and 6:00 pm:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apricot cutting contest\n<ul>\n<li>Location: Avinguda Bisbe Campins<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>6:00 pm:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apricot cake sales stand.<\/li>\n<li>Mask and face painting workshop.\n<ul>\n<li>Organized by: AMPA Col\u00b7legi Verge de Monti-sion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><em>Showcooking<\/em> with Miquel Calent. This culinary event involves preparing apricot dishes in front of the attendees, ending with a tasting for all participants.
