An event organised by the Gremi de Llibreters de Mallorca (Booksellers&#8217; Guild of Mallorca) with the support of the Consell and Palma City Council. This year&#8217;s Diada de Sant Jordi promises a day full of magic, books and entertainment in the streets of the city. Various activities have been prepared to liven up this special day to commemorate Book Day 2024 in Palma, on the 23rd of April.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most outstanding novelties of 2024 is the hiring of three street entertainment groups, selected to offer entertainment for all ages. Starting at 5:00 pm, the public will be able to enjoy travelling shows that will tour the city&#8217;s emblematic &#8216;paradetes&#8217;.<\/p>\n<h2>Animation in Palma on Book Day<\/h2>\n<p>The group Estupendos Burru\u00f1os will delight with a vibrant musical parade, filling the streets with wind and percussion melodies. On the other hand, Stromboli Events will transport you to a world of fantasy with their performance &#8220;Sant Jordi and the rose&#8221;, where the characters will come to life before the eyes of the audience. Finally, the street animation entitled &#8216;Escriu la teva hist\u00f2ria&#8217;, presented by Qmiras Producciones, will make a living book the protagonist of an unforgettable experience.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the animation, more than 30 book stalls will be distributed at strategic points around the city, from Pla\u00e7a de Cort to La Rambla, offering a wide variety of books for all tastes and ages. From street performances to the opportunity to discover new readings in the &#8216;paradetes&#8217;. This Book Day will serve to celebrate culture and the love of reading in one of the most eagerly awaited festivities of the year. The Sant Jordi 2024 programme includes workshops, talks, book presentations and the traditional author signings.
