Next Saturday 24th February, an interesting open day will be held at the Sa Bassa Blanca Museum in Alc\u00fadia to commemorate the Day of the Balearic Islands. From 10:30 in the morning until 17:00, visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a world of art, culture and nature free of charge. The Sa Bassa Blanca Museum offers visitors a fascinating dialogue between cultures like few others on the island, as we reported in our magazine Mallorca Global Mag.<\/p>\n

One of the main attractions will be the exhibition of the Nins portrait collection, an exhibition that captivates with its beauty and emotional depth. Visitors will also be able to explore the Sokrates room, a space that invites reflection and debate on a range of contemporary issues. For those looking to connect with nature, the sculpture park and rose garden offer an oasis of tranquillity and beauty, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a serene atmosphere.<\/p>\n

“Smoke signals”, live<\/h2>\n

Throughout the day, families will have the opportunity to witness “Smoke Signals”, a free show of colourful smoke flares. Inspired by renowned artist Ben Jakober’s “Smoke Towers” project, this captivating show is aimed at all ages and promises to amaze and astound audiences.<\/p>\n

“Smoke Signals” is a tribute to the artistic legacy of Jakober, who won the 1993 Pilar Juncosa and Sotheby’s Special Prize, awarded by the Fundaci\u00f3 Pilar i Joan Mir\u00f3. His striking work has left an indelible mark on the world of art and culture in the Balearic Islands, and this special presentation is a unique opportunity to experience his creative vision live.<\/p>\n

In addition to the cultural activities, Caf\u00e9 La Paloma will be open throughout the day, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy a delicious menu of dishes made with fresh ingredients and organic vegetables.
