<\/p>\nThe seventh edition of Horeca Mallorca has already opened, which promises to consolidate itself in 2024 as an essential meeting point for professionals, companies and gastronomy lovers.<\/p>\n
From today until 7 February, the Vel\u00f2drom Illes Balears will once again become the epicentre of Horeca Mallorca. The fair will provide a favourable environment for establishing business agreements, forging alliances and discovering the latest innovations in the hotel and catering sector.<\/p>\n
The figures from the previous edition speak for themselves: 16,000 trade visitors and 500 brands congregated in 5,000 square metres of exhibition space. Horeca Mallorca has managed to establish itself as a strategic event on both a local and regional level, with a clear national vocation that attracts more and more foreign companies.<\/p>\n
During the presentation of the 2024 fair on 18 January, some of the new features for this year were announced, confirming the diversity of competitions, tributes and a wide range of exhibitors from companies in the sector. This project, in constant expansion, will continue its presence on the islands of Ibiza and Menorca between the end of February and the end of March.<\/p>\n

For the first time, Horeca Mallorca will have the support of the Consell de Mallorca. The president of the Consell de Mallorca, Lloren\u00e7 Galm\u00e8s, opened the event by highlighting the strategic importance of Horeca in the value chain that makes up the economic fabric of the region, along with tourism. This year, the Consell has decided to become directly involved as a sponsor of the main stage of the fair, showing its commitment to an event that has become a benchmark for the sector.<\/p>\n
Javier Bonet, first deputy mayor of Palma City Council, underlined the local government’s sensitivity towards the restaurant sector. He announced the presentation of Palma as the capital of gastronomy at the next edition of Fitur. In addition, he showed the commitment to build a new exhibition centre for events in constant growth, such as Horeca Mallorca.<\/p>\n
Joan Llabr\u00e8s, Director General of Agri-food Quality and Local Produce of the Government of the Balearic Islands, highlighted the collaboration with the islands’ Protected Designations of Origin and Protected Geographical Indications. He also highlighted the participation of schools and educational associations in the area of catering.<\/p>\n
Jos\u00e9 Luis C\u00f3rcoles, Commercial Director of Horeca, reaffirmed the importance of the sector as an economic engine and the need for joint support to strengthen it. The union of professionals, companies, institutions and producers is key to the common benefit of society.<\/p>\n
“Horeca: Strength in Unity”, highlights the philosophy of this event as a catalyst for synergies in favour of the sector. The fair, which covers Mallorca, Ibiza and Menorca, continues to grow unstoppably, consolidating itself as a benchmark of excellence and promotion in the local economy.<\/p>\n
At the close of the event, Koldo Royo, Horeca Mallorca’s gastronomic advisor, highlighted the human nature of the fair.
