The Consell de Mallorca demands the immediate temporary closure of the Palma headquarters of the Maritime Museum of Mallorca as it does not comply with the necessary safety conditions since it opened in Ses Voltes in September 2020, as reported in a statement.<\/p>\n
A report on the state of progress of the works that was released a few days ago details that “the building does not have a fire prevention system or an evacuation plan, which makes it necessary to close its Palma headquarters until this problem is resolved”, as explained by the vice-president of the Consell de Mallorca and councillor for Culture and Heritage, Ant\u00f2nia Roca, who criticises the fact that “the previous government team did not check that everything was in order before opening it”.<\/p>\n
For the duration of the works in Palma on the Maritime Museum of Mallorca, the S\u00f3ller branch will extend its opening hours to “attend to visitors who want to get to know the museum and relocate the visits that had already been set up”, Roca explained. From Tuesday to Saturday it will be open from 10 am to 3 pm, and on Sundays from 10 am to 1 pm.<\/p>\n
