<\/p>\nThe Consumer Price Index (CPI) fell to 3.8% in the Balearic Islands in October, two tenths below the previous month. These are the final data published Tuesday by the National Statistics Institute (INE). Food and non-alcoholic beverages, followed by alcohol and tobacco are the products whose prices have risen the most.<\/p>\n
This data relating to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the month of October, which stands at 3.8% in the Balearic Islands, is the lowest in the series recorded in the Balearic Islands since August 2023.<\/p>\n
Where prices rose the most in the islands with respect to 2022 was in food and non-alcoholic beverages, with an increase of 9.5%, and a decrease of 0.9 points with respect to the previous month; followed by alcoholic beverages and tobacco, 7.6%, 0.3 points less than in September; restaurants and hotels, 5.8%, 0.5 points less; and health, 5.7%, 0.9 points less.<\/p>\n

On the contrary, where prices fell the most in year-on-year rate -with respect to 2022- was in housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, 5.6%, although up 5.8 points with respect to September.<\/p>\n
At the national level, the CPI increased by 0.3% in October compared to September and maintains its year-on-year rate at 3.5%.<\/p>\n
The highest rates at the end of October were in the Canary Islands, with 4.3%; Ceuta, with 4.1%; and Melilla, with 4.1%. On the opposite side are Arag\u00f3n, with 2.5%; Extremadura, with 3%; and Asturias with 3.1%, which have the lowest rates.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
