More than thirty bakeries and pastry shops participate this year in the ninth Ruta del Llonguet 2023, which will offer llonguet and drink for 3.75 \u20ac. It is organized by the Association of Bakers and Confectioners of the Balearic Islands with the support of the City Council of Palma between October 18 and December 13<\/p>\n

Pep Magraner, manager of the Association of Bakers and Confectioners, stressed that this route is an activity already consolidated and has achieved the goal of increasing the production and consumption of this bread roll of Palma: some City ovens already serve between 500 and 600 every day. Last year about 5,000 llonguets were sold weekly during the route, Magraner emphasized. “By the good predisposition of the ovens and with the good influx of tourists that there is now this figure may increase,” said the manager of the Association of Forners.<\/p>\n

Magraner recalled that the llonguet is the only gastronomic product that identifies Palma: “It is a product that puts in value the local product and we want to put in value along with the ovens”. Magraner also stressed that this year, despite inflation, the price remains the same as last year.<\/p>\n

More than 30 establishments participate in the Ruta del Llonguet 2023<\/h2>\n

The Ruta del Llonguet was born in 2015 with the dual objective of increasing the sale of Llonguets and publicizing the ovens and their products. The initiative this year will take place between October 18 and December 13. The price of the promotion of llonguet and drink this year will be 3.75 \u20ac. Each establishment will inform customers of the types of snacks and drinks included in the promotion.<\/p>\n

Toni Fuster, Director General of Commerce of the City Council, thanked the Association of Bakers and Confectioners the organization of the Llonguet Route as an activity that promotes the consumption of traditional bread and revitalization of the sector. Fuster also stressed that the activity of ovens and bakeries is very important for the local economy, as it generates employment and adds attractiveness.<\/p>\n
