The Felanitx Tech Weekend 2023 will be held on the weekend of 13-15 October at the Polideportivo Guillem Timoner. This year the event reaches its 9th edition as a space for exchange and cooperation to promote the culture of technological and digital innovation. The novelty of 2023 is that during these three days the finals of the Riot Games Storm circuit of LOL, Valorando and TFT, organised by the Tramontana Wannahop League, will take place. The best players will compete to win the official tournaments of this edition.<\/p>\n

Since its inception, the Felanitx Tech Weekend has contributed to the visibility of e-sports. Hence the importance of hosting these finals, supporting the Tramontana Wannahop League. This league is an association of young people whose main objective is to promote e-sports in its most competitive aspect in the Balearic Islands.<\/p>\n

Felanitx Tech Weekend 2023 programme<\/h2>\n

Within the regular programme of the Felanitx Tech Weekend we must highlight a new edition of the Lan Party. Here the best gamers in Mallorca will deploy their computer equipment to share three days of friendship, knowledge and competition. Another very important part of the event are the children and young people, who have a specific programme for them: The Felanitx Tech Kids! From the age of 3 years old the youngest ones can let their imagination fly with Lego, discover educational robots, programming, 3D design and much more.<\/p>\n

Belio Artigas, the head of the Youth Department of the Felanitx Town Council, points out that “we continue to support these days, offering a full agenda of activities for the whole family”. For her part, councillor Marina Obrador adds that “it is important to create these meeting spaces because, in them, young people communicate, play and share many experiences virtually, but we must not forget that direct contact with other people interested in the same subjects makes the experience much more enriching”. Artigas adds that “this year’s novelty is the hosting of the finals of the Tramontana Wannahop League, a pioneering association in creating the first official e-Sports League in the Balearic Islands”.<\/p>\n

Throughout the weekend, there will also be a retro area, a virtual reality space and a gastronomic area with the foodtruck Sexto Sentido open to the public.<\/p>\n
