The spring season has arrived in Palma, and with it, the long-awaited opening of the roof terraces of the Mallorca Cathedral for visitors. Since May, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy a unique experience, contemplating the imposing flying buttresses, the main rose window and the bell tower from the heights. This is an exceptional opportunity to explore the basilica from unexpected corners and enjoy panoramic views of Palma.
Price and timetables for visits to the Roof Terraces of Mallorca Cathedral
For those interested in visiting the roof terraces of Mallorca Cathedral, the entrance fee is €25 for adults and €8 for residents.
Visiting hours are as follows:
- Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 16:30, with shifts every 30 minutes for a duration of 1 hour.
- Saturdays, from 10:00 to 13:30, with shifts every 30 minutes for a duration of 1 hour.
It is important to bear in mind that the roof terraces are open from May to October, both months included.

It should also be noted that on Fridays every week the visit is free for residents and citizens of the diocese of Mallorca. However, the ticket must be purchased at the Cathedral’s ticket offices and documentary proof of residence or citizenship must be provided.
Before the visit, it is essential to consider some preconditions to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants. It is required that visitors do not have cardiorespiratory diseases, vertigo, claustrophobia or reduced mobility for reasons of age or health. In addition, a minimum age requirement of 9 years is established for access to the terraces, with the obligation to provide proof of age by means of an official identity document.
During the visit, it is important to behave respectfully towards the monument and follow the instructions of the Cathedral staff. It is forbidden to damage the integrity of the heritage, to consume food and/or drink (except water), to smoke, to throw objects and to carry suitcases or bulky luggage.
In the event of non-compliance with the established rules, the visitor may be refused admission, interrupted and/or expelled from the visit, without the right to any kind of exchange or refund.

Another option for visiting the Mallorca Cathedral roof terraces is at sunset. A new experience with a guided tour available in 3 languages (Catalan, Spanish and English), with limited places, announced on the Cathedral’s website. The entrance fee is 30 euros and the timetable, depending on the month, is between 19:00 and 20:30. Normally, this tour is only open to visitors during the summer months.
