The Consell de Mallorca has officially approved the project to build a new civic pathway that will connect the towns of Peguera and Camp de Mar. This new infrastructure will extend the current pedestrian and cycling path that links Andratx with Camp de Mar and Port d’Andratx, adding one more kilometre to the route.

The route will run between the roundabout on Carrer de la Savina in Peguera and the roundabout on Camí de Son Fortuny in Camp de Mar. The aim is to promote sustainable mobility and provide real alternatives to motorised transport, making it safer for pedestrians and cyclists to travel between the two towns, the island council stated in a press release.
The project also includes the resurfacing of the Ma-1A road, as the current surface is significantly worn and in need of renewal. The works are expected to cost €1,629,489, with the tender process set to conclude by November so that construction can begin before the end of the year. The works are expected to last approximately six months.
The project affects the municipalities of Calvià and Andratx and has been developed in coordination with both local councils.
