The historic Ciutat de Palma Trophy 2024 returns after a three-year hiatus. The 46th edition of the trophy will be held on Saturday, 10 August at 8.30 PM at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix, featuring RCD Mallorca and the Italian club Bologna FC 1909.

During the presentation of the Ciutat de Palma Trophy 2024, the Mayor of Palma, Jaime Martínez Llabrés, invited the “Mallorquinista family to enjoy Saturday’s match, when once again a trophy that is the prelude to a season in which we wish great success to RCD Mallorca will be contested.”

He also congratulated those “who have made it possible for the Ciutat de Palma Trophy to become a reality once again, a congratulations that I personally extend to the president of the entity, Andy Kohlberg; the CEO of the Business Area, Alfonso Díaz, and the entire managerial and professional team of the club.”

Welcome to coach Joseba Arrasate

Martínez Llabrés also took the opportunity to welcome the new Rojillo coach, Joseba Arrasate, and his entire technical team, wishing them good luck in this new stage and recalling “the contribution of all those who work or have worked in the past for Mallorca, and the legacy left by the coaches and players who have worn the shirt in recent years.”

For his part, the CEO of Business Area of RCD Mallorca, Alfonso Díaz, thanked the involvement and support of the City Council in a “historic tournament.”

EMT reinforcements for the Ciutat de Palma Trophy 2024

The Palma City Council will implement a special reinforcement of EMT buses for fans attending the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix. The L8 and L33 lines will be reinforced, with several additional vehicles added to the L8 from Sindicat to the stadium starting at 6:00 PM. After the match, buses from the L8 and L33 lines will be available in front of the stadium. The L8 will follow its usual route to Sindicat, while the reinforcement of the L33 will end at Plaça d’Espanya. Additionally, Bicipalma users are reminded that they can use the new virtual station near the stadium to arrive by bicycle.
