The Iberian derogation
The so-called ‘Iberian derogation’ has been extended until 31 December, following the agreement reached by Spain and Portugal with the European Commission. This consists of limiting the price of natural gas used in electricity production to alleviate the consequences of the escalation of energy prices in the electricity pool following the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine.
