The XXI Fira Internacional del Disc will be held at the Velòdrom Illes Balears on the 16th and 17th of September, and will continue in Inca on the 28th and 29th of October in the Plaza Santa Maria la Major, albeit in a smaller format.
This new edition of “one of the most important record sales fairs in Europe, both for the products it offers and for its musical performances” – according to the Consell de Mallorca in a press release – will feature 40 stands from different countries. CDs, LPs, cassettes, singles, books, posters, etc. of a wide range of musical styles will be on display at these points. On the days that the fair moves to Inca, the offer will be somewhat more limited.
If you buy a six-euro ticket, which comes with a free CD or LP, music lovers will have access to all kinds of records. The best specialist shops, record labels, publishers and specialists will bring the public the latest in the music sector, but also the most classic collectors’ items.
The Fira Internacional del Disc not only promotes direct sales, but also serves as an opportunity for attendees to exchange their editions or accept editions of records released in the Balearic Islands in their catalogue. Live musical performances are also a constant feature and represent a springboard for some Mallorcan groups to make their work known. On this occasion, the Record Fair will host the semi-final of the Palma Pop-Rock music competition.

On Saturday the 16th of September, the Velòdrom Illes Baleares will open its doors from 11 am to 10:30 pm, while on Sunday the 17th of September it will be open from 11 am to 9 pm. The opening times for the Fira in Inca have not yet been announced.
