On 22 September, Son Ferriol will host the 30th edition of its iconic Fair, an event that attracts thousands of visitors from all over Mallorca each year. Organised by the Associació d’Indústria i Comerç de Son Ferriol in collaboration with the Palma City Council, this agricultural, commercial, and livestock fair is one of the most eagerly awaited on the calendar.

Over 100 stands at the Son Ferriol Fair 2024

The fair will feature more than 100 stands across 1,200 metres of exhibition space, showcasing agricultural, artisanal, and commercial products. During the programme’s presentation, Councillor for Commerce, Catering, and the Self-Employed, Lupe Ferrer, emphasised that although the Palma City Council provides logistical support, the true value of this fair lies in the community network of Son Ferriol, which organises the event with great dedication.

The fair’s programme is packed with activities for all ages, including exhibitions, competitions, and cultural events throughout the day.

Saturday, 21 September

  • 17:00: 2nd Son Ferriol Popular Race. The 4,500-metre race starts at 17:30, and the 9,000-metre race starts at 17:40.
  • 18:00: Performance by the Marina Bordoy Dance Sports Club.
  • 19:00: “Firera” party.

Sunday, 22 September

  • 11:00: Official opening of the fair.
  • 11:30: Equestrian competition.
  • 11:30: Performance of Ball de bot with Sa Revetla de Sant Antoni.
  • 12:00: Commemorative speech at the Casal de Barri.
  • 17:00: Karate exhibition by the Karate Club Espadas.
  • 18:00: Dance performance by GDS.
  • 19:00: Concert by the Son Ferriol Music Band.
  • 21:00: Bingo.

A day full of tradition and culture

The president of the Associació d’Indústria i Comerç de Son Ferriol, Miquel Toni Vidal, emphasised that the Son Ferriol Fira retains its agricultural and livestock spirit. It will also feature animal displays, traditional tools, vintage motorcycles, excavators, trucks, and the popular horse competition.

This event not only offers an opportunity to enjoy Mallorcan culture but also to support local businesses, who eagerly anticipate this day.

Transport and mobility for the Fair

EMT Palma will provide a shuttle bus service on Sunday between Son Llàtzer and Son Ferriol. This aims to reduce the use of private vehicles and promote sustainable mobility.
