The Holy Week processions return to Mallorca after the break due to the pandemic after two years without being held. The traditional event was confirmed by the Bishop of Mallorca, Sebastià Taltavull, at a press conference. The Holy Week 2022 tours will be shorter and the schedule will be reduced to avoid crowds in accordance with a Government decree that establishes the regulations for mass events with more than 300 people. The organization anticipates that more than 10,000 brothers will participate in the celebration throughout the four days.

In Palma the route changes on Holy Thursday. It will start at La Sangre, turn towards La Rambla, pass by Jaime III, then Paseo Mallorca, Calle Sardeña and Vicente Campis and end again at La Sangre.

On Good Friday the route will be the same, but instead of starting from the Church of Caputxins, it will start from Sant Antoniet and there will be a Eucharist at 7:00 p.m. in the Cathedral. Palm Sunday is not modified and will begin with a procession to the Cathedral at 10 am to later celebrate a Eucharist.

A series of measures have been stipulated: participants must wear a mask and those who decide to march without it must have a negative antigen test carried out in the previous hours. In addition, interpersonal distance will be mandatory.
