Santanyí, known for its paradisiacal beaches, hides a lesser-explored but equally captivating treasure: its hiking and cycling routes. With a total of 12 walking trails and 19 cycling itineraries, this southeastern Mallorca destination invites you to discover its natural and cultural wealth at any time of the year.

Landscapes to walk

Santanyí is a perfect destination for hiking lovers. It offers routes ranging from 650 meters to 4.5 kilometers, with options designed to suit any level, providing walks that can be completed in less than an hour. The routes, carefully signposted and with QR codes for easy navigation, allow you to explore iconic spots such as the Mondragó Natural Park, with its dune, pine forest, and rocky coastal ecosystems, or the stunning viewpoint of Ses Fonts de n’Alis.

From tourist hubs like Cala d’Or, Cala Figuera, or Portopetro, to quieter places like s’Almunia or es Pontàs, each trail promises a different experience. In addition, the Santanyí Town Hall has compiled all these routes into a handy map with detailed information for hikers.

Cycling enthusiasts have good reason to rejoice. Santanyí is establishing itself as the ideal starting point to explore Mallorca by bike. With 19 available routes, 12 road routes and 7 mountain trails, the options cater to both beginners and experienced cyclists. The routes, ranging from 30 to 200 kilometers, offer varying levels of difficulty and lead to iconic spots like the Cap Salines lighthouse, Llucmajor, or the Santuari de Bonany.

A brochure with all the necessary information and the option to download the routes via QR codes ensures that every cyclist can find their perfect challenge. Starting from Cala d’Or or Cala Figuera, these trails offer a unique way to connect with nature and discover the island from a different perspective.
