Parade and other activities

In addition to the book sales, which will offer a 10% discount, visitors can enjoy book presentations, author signings, workshops, talks and games. From 11 am to 1:30 pm and 5 pm to 7:30 pm, there will be a lively parade featuring the ‘caparrots’ na Rosa and en Tom, accompanied by xeremiers and the group ‘Estupendos Burruños’, who will make their way through the streets and squares where the stalls are located.

Among the cultural activities organised by Palma’s municipal libraries, which will take place from 19 to 26 April, are storytelling sessions, craft and comic workshops, and the photo and book exhibition ‘Els noms dels boscos són art’ at the Ramon Llull library. There will also be a literary competition for young readers entitled ‘Llegeix i comparteix’, organised by the Joan Alcover library, and a guided walk called ‘Una passejada pels racons literaris del centre de Palma’ on Saturday 26 April.

The programme also includes the presentation of the 1st Prat de Catí Narrative Prize on 24 April at 7:30 pm at the Sant Jordi library, and the screening of the film ‘Cien libros juntas’ at CineCiutat, with the attendance of director Marga Melià and the cast.
