Sa Fira Santanyí 2022 is taking place this weekend. The municipality is celebrating one of its most eagerly awaited events and has programmed activities for everyone. Those who come to Sa Fira Santanyí will be able to enjoy traditional ‘paradetes’, cultural activities, music, a children’s party and a cookery exhibition.

The activities begin on Friday the 21st with a great day of Mallorcan dancing at 18:00, with a bot dance performance by the Sa Mitja Lluna school. Before that, the village xeremiers and the giants Bernat Cinclaus and Maria Ramis will have strolled through the streets. Afterwards, there will be a popular dance with the groups Xicalènia, Es Revetlers and Sonadors Sonats.

Saturday in Sa Fira Santanyí 2022

Saturday the 22nd is the big day of Sa Fira Santanyí 2022. The Fair, the Gastronomy Fair, the Correfoc and the Firafest will be the main events on the programme. The fair will be inaugurated at 10:00 am and will take over the streets of the town centre. Fruit and vegetable stalls will be set up in the Plaza Mayor, while the stalls of local associations will be distributed around the town. There will be an exhibition of partridges, game birds and dogs by the Asociación de Cazadores de Santanyí (Santanyí Hunters’ Association), as well as an exhibition of rally cars, among many others.

At 11:00 in the Plaça de la Porta Murada, the Sa Fira 2022 Santanyí concert will be given by the Municipal Band and the Agrupació Musical Santa Cecília de Ador (Santa Cecília Musical Group from Ador). Also at 11:00 the 2nd Santanyí Shepherd Dog Competition will begin, and at 12:00, a concert with commentary, Els colours de l’orgue a l’església de Santanyí (The Colours of the Orchestra in the Church of Santanyí).

In the afternoon, the Asociación de Amas de casa de Santanyí (Santanyí Housewives’ Association) will be offering an exhibition of local cuisine. And in the evening, the Correfoc will begin at 23:00. At midnight, all the young people are invited to Firafest 2022 at the Santanyí Youth Centre, where the entertainment will continue with After Suns, DJ Kaaubos and DJ Calderón.

The events of Sa Fira Santanyí 2022 will end on Sunday 23rd with Sa Fireta Infantil, with an horabaixa dedicated to the little ones with music and dance by the group Spaguetti Yeyé, organised by the Youth Department.
