Some of the largest and most sophisticated multihulls in the world will meet from August 27 to 29 in the fourth edition of the Multihull Regatta, which will take place in Port Adriano and is aimed exclusively at multihulls over 50 feet. According to the organization, “the highly competitive fleet will be made up of enthusiasts who repeat from previous editions, as well as new participants”.
For the three days that the event lasts and depending on the weather conditions, two regattas have been planned: one of about 30 minutes (Friday and Sunday), which could include the return to Dragonera Island and the Malgrats Islands, and another of 55 minutes “record” from El Toro to the island of Cabrera (round trip). In parallel, several social events have been scheduled ashore at the Coast & Sansibar Wine bar and restaurant, designed by Phillippe Starck and located in the heart of the marina.
The 2021 Multihull Regatta will be held under the ORCmh classification system and is registered within the Sailors of the Sea platform with the Clean Regatta program, which guarantees that it complies with regulations to reduce any negative impact on the environment.
