The Casal Solleric will be one of the venues hosting the exhibition of New York painter Peter Halley, one of the most prominent names in contemporary art. This exhibition, which will open in Palma on 22 March 2025 and will run until 25 May, follows its showing at the National Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid.

The Ajuntament de Palma, through its Department of Culture and the Casal Solleric, has collaborated in organising this exhibition, which first opens in Madrid on 18 October 2024 and will be on display there until 19 January 2025.

Cultural collaboration between Madrid and Palma

This exhibition is part of a strategic collaboration between the Ajuntament de Palma and the National Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, strengthening the Casal Solleric’s presence on the international art scene.

Although this is not the first time the artist has presented his work in Spain, the last major institutional exhibition was in 1992 at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía. Since then, Halley has continued to establish himself as a central figure in contemporary abstract art, particularly known for his bold fluorescent colours and geometric compositions that anticipate the digital era.
