Palma is preparing to once again fill its streets with solidarity with the tenth edition of “Mallorca on the Move Against Cancer”, which will take place on Sunday, 26 October. The event, organised by the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), aims to raise funds for research and provide support to those affected by the disease.

The event, now established as one of the most popular charity and sporting activities on the island’s calendar, will bring together thousands of participants in a festive atmosphere of social commitment. The day will feature two main events, both starting and finishing on Avinguda Antoni Maura, next to Parc de la Mar:

As the main novelty of this edition, there will be children’s races for the first time, open to boys and girls aged 3 to 12 years. All participants up to 14 years old will receive a commemorative T-shirt and a medal, aiming to encourage family participation and promote healthy lifestyles from an early age.

Support from the Consell de Mallorca
The race is supported by the Consell de Mallorca, which also backs the children’s events within this edition’s programme. The President of the Consell, Llorenç Galmés, highlighted that “the Consell reaffirms its commitment to health, solidarity, and the promotion of healthy living habits.” Meanwhile, the Councillor for Environment, Rural Affairs and Sports, Pedro Bestard, noted that “it is essential to continue raising awareness and visibility about the disease.”
