The Office for the Energy Transition of the Balearic Islands (OTEIB) has far exceeded its annual forecasts. By November, it had assisted 16,783 users, surpassing the target set for 2025, which was 15,000.

The OTEIB operates under the Ministry of Enterprise, the Self-Employed and Energy, through the Balearic Energy Institute (IBE). Its mission is to advise the public and support municipalities throughout the energy transition process.
In November alone, 798 enquiries were registered at its offices. Most were related to grants and public subsidies.
A total of 307 enquiries focused on the processing of grants. A further 226 were related to the status of ongoing applications.

Economic impact and support for municipalities
Technical assistance to local councils generated a potential economic impact of €44,249 in November. So far this year, the OTEIB has produced 48 technical reports for local authorities.

Mallorca: electrical optimisation reports in Inca and Ariany, and support for self-consumption in Felanitx.

Menorca: electrical studies in Alaior, shared self-consumption in Es Castell, and advice in Es Mercadal on photovoltaic energy and energy refurbishment.

Ibiza and Formentera: a shared self-consumption workshop in Sant Antoni and promotion of the Refugi25 subsidy.
