The Municipal Transport Company of Palma (EMT) launched this Wednesday the new L30 line, which connects the Marivent park-and-ride car park with the Palace of Congresses. The new service will operate every day of the week with an average frequency of 20 minutes in both directions, complementing the existing L1 line and thus ensuring a bus every 10 minutes along the Passeig Marítim.

The first service departs at 7:22 am from Marivent and at 7:26 am from the Palace of Congresses, while the last departures take place at 9:02 pm and 9:06 pm, respectively. The route runs along the seafront promenade, with a stop at Moll Vell, before reaching the Palace of Congresses, where a new BiciPalma station has also been recently installed.

The presentation of the line was held this morning to coincide with its launch, in an event attended by neighbourhood representatives, the Association of Traders and Industrialists of the Passeig Marítim (ACOIPAM) and the Employers’ Association of Maritime Activities (A.P.E.A.M.).

The Deputy Mayor for Mobility, Toni Deudero, stressed that this route aims to “improve connectivity and mobility along the seafront, better connecting this area with the rest of the city and responding to the activity generated by the Palace of Congresses”.

For his part, the president of ACOIPAM, Manuel Jiménez, welcomed the measure: “Today is an important day, as it fulfils a demand that we have been calling for since the start of the Passeig Marítim works”, and he thanked the City Council and EMT Palma “for their work in making this initiative a reality”.
