Mallorcan society was tinged with mourning yesterday with the news of the death of gallery owner and co-owner of HM Hotels Juan Antonio Horrach Moyà. The Mallorcan businessman died of a heart attack at the age of 52 while watching his eldest son, Guillermo, at the Toulouse racecourse.
The HM Hotels chain released a statement following the death:
“It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Juan Antonio Horrach Moyà, co-owner of HM Hotels and owner of the Horrach Moyà Gallery.
Juan Antonio was watching his eldest son Guillermo at the Toulouse racecourse when he suffered a heart attack.
His figure will always be linked to the promotion of art, trotting and quality tourism in Mallorca.
In the next few days his coffin will be taken to Mallorca and the funeral honours for his eternal rest will be communicated.
