The Consell de Mallorca has registered more than 270 incidents, between yesterday and today, due to the severe storm that has swept the island this Sunday. The brigades of roads and the Bombers de Mallorca are working hard to restore normality
As reported by the Consell de Mallorca in a press release, the vast majority of the 270 incidents that have been recorded on the island were resolved last night, and today are culminating the tasks of security and removal of trees, mainly.
In total, more than 80 people have worked from the first moment to solve the more than 270 incidents that the storm has caused in Mallorca.
In the case of roads, 50 incidents have been registered, most of them caused by falling trees, branches or stones. It should be noted the fall of two large stones on the road to sa Calobra early this morning, which have already been removed. In spite of the storm, it has not been necessary to permanently close any road in Mallorca.
With regard to the incidents attended by the Bombers de Mallorca, there are 182, mainly involving the removal of trees and branches in urban areas, and street furniture from facades and public areas of different municipalities of the island. In the town of Calvià, the Bombers de Mallorca have acted in 56 incidents. Likewise, they have had to intervene in Felanitx, with the fall of the walls and the roof of the bullring of the municipality, among the most outstanding incidents in the area.
