Largest fortunes in the Balearic Islands in 2025

Fluxá consolidates his throne

Miguel Fluxá reaffirms his leadership for the ninth consecutive year as the wealthiest individual in the Balearic Islands and returns to the top 10 of the 100 Richest Spaniards List published by the prestigious Forbes magazine. The 2025 Balearic ranking also reflects a shift in power among the major family dynasties. Brothers Carlos and Juan March Delgado make a strong ascent, unseating Simón Pedro Barceló and the Riu siblings from last year’s podium, taking second and third place respectively. Meanwhile, Carmen and Luis Riu share fourth place ex aequo, despite each having increased their wealth by 300 million euros. The most significant setbacks of the year are those of the chairman of the Barceló Group, who falls from second to sixth place, and Gabriel Escarrer and his family, who drop three places. According to Forbes, the ranking is based on a thorough analysis of the market value of companies and family holdings, as well as cash, investments and property assets.
