Mallorca is nominated in five categories of the World Travel Awards: leading cultural city (for Palma), leading beach destination, leading island destination, leading sustainable tourism destination and leading new resort in Europe.
According to the Consell de Mallorca, the winners of this year’s World Travel Awards will be announced on 30 September in the city of Batumi, Georgia. Last year, Mallorca hosted the European awards gala at the Mallorca Hilton Galatzó hotel.
These awards corroborate the island’s leading position in tourism. Since 1993, the awards have recognised and rewarded excellence in all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries. Globally, they are a hallmark of excellence in the sector.
