The 14th edition of the Mallorca 312 OK Mobility will take place on Saturday 27th of April , the most important cycling event on the island of Mallorca. Such is its popularity that the 8,000 registrations put on sale were sold out in just 6 minutes, which is a new record. For those who have been left out, the organisation informs that “there is the possibility of registering on the waiting list to be able to get a bib in case of a possible cancellation”.
As in previous editions of the Mallorca 312 Gran Fondo, participants are offered three routes: 312 (which gives its name to the march), 225 and 167 kilometres, whose starting and finishing points are set in Platja de Muro. The routes are closed to traffic and allow participants to enjoy a great day of cycling with the utmost safety, which is the main concern of the organisers. The start of the different distances of this long-awaited cycling challenge will begin at 6.30 am and the last participant is expected to pass through at 7:00 am.
The collection of bibs is scheduled at the EXPO Mallorca 312 OK Mobility (Avenida s’Albufera 33) on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th of April from 9 am to 9 pm.
Professional cyclists
The race brings together 8,000 cyclists from all over the world, of which approximately 2,000 are local. In these fourteen years of history, cyclists of the stature of Miguel Indurain, Vincenzo Nibali, Alberto Contador, Perico Delgado, Sean Kelly, Ivan Basso, Jan Ullrich, Horrillo, Joseba Beloki, Oscar Freire and Purito Rodríguez have taken part.
Undoubtedly one of its greatest attractions is the nature of the Serra de Tramuntana, considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, as well as the paradisiacal landscape of the north of Mallorca, which fuses tradition and history.
